About time
During the finite length of time that a photosensitive material is exposed to create the image, things change - the light, the sky, movement of the subject and other elements within the frame. In an exposure lasting a fraction of a second this is not normally noticeable. In fact, most photographers aim to capture "a moment in time". I aim to emphasise the time element by using long exposures, mostly with a hand-held camera in order to better reflect the changing nature of environment in which I am working.
